ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA PADA SISWA SDN 153 PEKANBARU KELAS V DITINJAU DARI FAKTOR INTERNAL DAN EKSTERNAL

This study aims to analyze mathematics learning difficulties among fifth-grade students at SDN 153 by examining internal and external factors influencing the learning process. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, the research involved fifth-grade students, classroom teachers, and parents as subjects. Data were collected through direct classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of students' learning outcomes. The findings reveal that students' difficulties in mathematics stem from two main factors. Internal factors include: Lack of interest and motivation in learning Math-related anxiety Low foundational skills in understanding mathematical concepts External factors comprise: Unsupportive family environment Mismatch between teaching methods and students' learning styles Limited learning facilities and infrastructure The combination of these factors hinders students' comprehension of mathematical concepts, resulting in poor learning outcomes. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration among teachers, students, and parents in addressing learning difficulties, as well as the need for more varied and contextual teaching approaches to enhance students' motivation and understanding of mathematics.
