Publication Ethic

Sevaloka: Journal of Community Engagement and Social Innovation is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. This statement aims to ensure the integrity and transparency of the publishing process, in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. It applies to authors, editors, reviewers, and the journal management team.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Submit original work free from plagiarism or duplicate publication.

  • Properly cite all sources and give appropriate credit.

  • Accurately list all contributors as authors.

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest.

  • Revise the manuscript as requested by reviewers and editors.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Ensure a fair and unbiased editorial process.

  • Maintain confidentiality of submissions and identities.

  • Make decisions based on the manuscript’s merit and reviewer input.

  • Investigate and address all ethical concerns professionally.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.

  • Maintain confidentiality and avoid using manuscript content for personal gain.

  • Decline to review if there is a conflict of interest or lack of expertise.

4. Handling of Misconduct

Allegations of misconduct—such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or false authorship—will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. Retractions will be issued for confirmed cases of post-publication misconduct.
