Author Guide

1. Focus and Scope

Sevaloka accepts manuscripts resulting from community service activities, university-community partnerships, community-based social innovation, and participatory empowerment models across various disciplines.


2. Types of Articles Accepted

  • Community engagement articles

  • Community-based case studies

  • Social innovation with local/technological approach

  • Impact evaluation of empowerment programs


3. General Requirements

  • Manuscript must be original and not under review elsewhere.

  • Written in proper Indonesian or English.

  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.


4. Manuscript Format

  • Use the Sevaloka journal template (available under Submission menu).

  • Length: 4,000 – 7,000 words, including references.

  • Basic structure:

    • Title

    • Author names and affiliations

    • Abstract (150–250 words) and 3–5 keywords

    • Introduction

    • Implementation Methods

    • Results and Impacts

    • Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • Acknowledgments (optional)

    • References


5. Citation and References

  • Use APA Style 7th Edition.

  • At least 15 references, 70% from recent journals (last 5 years).

  • Use reference management tools (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley).


6. Ethical Considerations

  • Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism (max 25% similarity).

  • Authors must submit a statement of originality.


7. Submission Procedure

  • Submit manuscripts via the OJS system using a registered author account.

  • All correspondence will be handled through the system.
